The Florala Wildcats put together a strong effort, but couldn’t overcome the quickness or size of Carroll High School as they fell in both varsity contests on Thursday night in the second round of the Red Level Christmas Tournament.

The Lady Wildcats gave it all they had, but just didn’t have enough in the tank to take out the Class 5A Carroll Lady Eagles.
Morgan Jackson had a big night for the Lady Wildcats as she finished with 13 points, including going 7-for-8 from the charity stripe.
With the loss, Florala will take on Georgiana today at 3 p.m.

The Wildcats kept the game close for most of the contest, but Carroll’s size and speed proved too much for Class 1A Florala.
At the end of the first, Carroll was up 11-10.
The Eagles pushed forward in the second period, and held a 29-16 lead at the halfway point.
Florala continued to fight for control of the game, but the Eagles were able to hold off any comeback attempt that Florala could form.
“I really felt like we started playing with more consistency,” Florala head coach Troy Stewart said. “I pulled a guy from B-team, Lee Stewart, to play and he really came in there and held us out.”
With the loss, the Wildcats will take on Kinston today at 10:30 a.m.
