MLK Day march set in Opp

- Opp resident Corrine Crayton, who worked for Dr. Ralph Abernathy during the Montgomery Bus Boycott and Selma to Montgomery March, speaks at last year’s event.
The annual Opp Martin Luther King Jr. Day march will be held Jan. 16.
Locals who wish to take part in the march should meet at the police station at 10 a.m.
The crowd will march from the police station to the ball diamond on Hardin Street where a memorial is set up for a program.
Afterward, the crowd is invited to go to New Hope Church for a service.
