Holley, Jones award $27K+ to schools, agencies, locally

Sen. Jimmy Holley and Rep. Mike Jones on Tuesday awarded eight community service grants to area schools and two discretionary grants for two local non-profits.

Jones awarded:

  • $3,200 to Opp City Schools;
  • $7,635 to Covington County Schools;
  • $4,435 to Andalusia City Schools;
  • 1,230 to Kinston School

Holley awarded:

  • $2,500 to Florala High School;
  • $2,500 to Pleasant Home School;
  • $3,000 to Andalusia City Schools;
  • $2,000 to Opp Middle School

Discretionary grants:

  • $500 for the Covington County Child Advocacy Center;
  • $500 for the Bethesda House.
