A Geneva man was arrested in Opp this week on drug charges.

Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that D-Shift officers stopped a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria on Turner Avenue for both suspicious activity and for no tag.

“Subsequent to their investigation, officers arrested Desmond Terell Young, a 28 year of age male resident of Geneva, Ala., for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia,” McDonald said.

Young was remanded to the Covington County Jail and the case was referred to the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force.
