Opp knocks off Straughn in overtime

The Opp Bobcats picked up a thrilling 63-59 victory over the Straughn Tigers on Tuesday night in Opp.

After Straughn took the lead to start the game, a big second period from Orlando gave the Bobcats a 39-24 lead at halftime.

Straughn inched back into the contest late in the fourth period to tie the 50-50.

Opp took a 52-50 led with a layup with 3.6 seconds left in regulation.

The Bobcats began getting feisty after going up and as a result were hit with three technical foul calls that gave Straughn six free throw attempts.

The Tigers hit 2-of-6 to force overtime, but Lacey and the Bobcats rolled to a 63-59 victory.

Reggie Thompson led the Bobcats with 23 points.
