Bowden appeared on “The Voice” this fall and was eliminated by fellow team member Josette Diaz.

She was a member of Miley Cyrus’ team and one of the 48 chosen for the 11th season of the NBC hit reality series.

Cancer Freeze’s Jennifer Davidson said that Bowden is related to this year’s recipient Chris Bowden.

“We are super excited to announce our special guest singer is the beautiful Charity Bowden,” Davidson said. “She will be singing the National Anthem before our Cancer Freeze 5K walk/run begins at the amphitheater located behind the Rodney J. Evans building on Lakeshore Blvd. in Florala. Make plans to join us.”

Bowden will sing at 8:45 a.m.

The event is in its 11th year and this year’s recipients are Opp’s Robin Spurlin, Straughn’s Kevin Lee Crawford, Samson’s Chris Bowden, Ft. Walton’s Yan Negron, Opp’s Lilly Matt and McKenzie’s Heather Odom.

The 2016 event was labeled the best in its history.

“I am so proud to be from Florala, Ala. Personally, I feel as if God gave us this beautiful lake to use for His glory,” she said.
