The Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo Committee has booked Opp’s own Nashville star to be the opening rodeo act for both Saturday and Sunday this year.

RSR committee member Robert Boothe said Wednesday that organizers have secured Martin McDaniel, for March 11 and 12.

The Martin McDaniel Band is billed as one of the hottest up and coming bands to hit Nashville and country music in quite some time.

McDaniel’s brother, Wright, plays the drums.

McDaniel is influenced by Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Merle Haggard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers and more.

McDaniel will open for Chris Janson on Saturday night and Confederate Railroad on Sunday.

Tickets are $10 per person for adults. Six and under get in free. Free tickets for children 7-12 will be distributed at local schools. Children can get in free with a ticket and a paid adult.
