Gardner is first baby of new year

Andalusia Health welcomed its first bundle of joy on Sun., Jan. 1, at 2:26 p.m. when Greyson Gardner was born to Erica Gardner.

Greyson weighed 8 pounds and 7 ounces, and measured 21 inches,

“We are so excited to finally have our little boy here with us,” Erica Gardner said. “And we are so grateful to the physicians, nurses and staff at Andalusia Health who made this such a special experience for us.”

Greyson is the grandson of Vanessa and Gerald Gardner.

Every year, Andalusia Health welcomes more than 400 babies into the world. The Birthing Center offers five new labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) suites so that moms and babies can stay in one room, new furnishings like birthing beds and rockers, lounger/sleepers, flat screen TVs, new nursery for baby and a new C-section suite.

“We consider it an honor and a privilege to have our patients’ labor and delivery needs met at Andalusia Health,” said Dr. Lee Carney, delivering physician and partner at Covington Obstetrics and Gynecology. “Our expectation is that every patient and her family will have a positive experience and genuinely feel our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.”
