Margie Ganus

Ms. Margie Ganus, 93, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Jan. 17, 2017, in the Andalusia Manor.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. Jan. 28, at Bethany Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Ashley McKathan officiating.

She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elmira Ridgeway of Grand Bay, Ala., Betty Harrelson and Gene Windham of Andalusia; a brother-in-law, Paul Bradley of Dayton, Texas; her nieces, Pat (Joe) Whitehurst, Cheryl (Ken) Still, Diane (Max) Raley, Marsha (John) Shaw, Linda Bundrick, Tammy Kelley, Rae (Ashley) McKathan; her nephews, Don (Barbara) Ganus, Ronnie Ridgeway, Mike (Mary) Ridgeway, Ricky (Amanda) Harrelson; and by numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Travis and Bertha Lee Ganus; a brother, James Ganus; three sisters, Vivian Elmore, Polly Bradley, Evelyn Bundrick; and two nephews, Tracy Bundrick and Randy Harrelson.

Patricia Nowling Hunt

Mrs. Patricia Nowling Hunt, 63, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Jan. 23, 2017, at Andalusia Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 25, at Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor John Hunt officiating the service. The family will visit with friends prior to and following the service.

She is survived by her husband, Ped Allen Hunt of Andalusia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ped Aaron and Julie Hunt of Atlanta, Ga., and Jeff and Katherine Hunt of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Michael Harper of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Ped Austin Hunt, Bennett Hunt, Troy Hunt, Brayden Harper, Buddy Harper, Emme Harper, and Michael Harper; her mother, Clair Nowling; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Becky Nowling.

Don Bradley

Mr. Don Bradley, age 83, of Andalusia passed away Jan. 25, 2017, at his home in the Red Oak Community – the same house in which he was born.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 on Friday evening, Jan. 27, at Foreman Funeral Home in Andalusia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 28, at Red Oak Baptist Church. Rick Freeman, Eugene Meadows, and Mark Perry will officiate. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery with Foreman Funeral directing.

Don grew up in the Red Oak Community and also lived for a period of time in Wauchula, Fla., and in Uriah, Ala. He worked as a farmer for much of his life, retiring in 1995 from Atmore Truckers Farmers’ Cooperative in Atmore, Alabama. He was a dedicated Christian and deeply committed to his family. He was ordained as a deacon in his early 20s and served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher throughout his life. He especially loved working in his garden and growing potted plants.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Elmore Bradley; sons: Gary Bradley of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, and Randall Bradley of Waco, Texas; brothers: Frank Bradley of the Red Oak Community, and Hugh Bradley, of Wauchula, Fla.; sisters: Patsy Barrington of Austin, Texas, and Peggy Chambers of Florala; grandchildren: Hannah Bradley of Atlanta, Ga., and Isaac Bradley of Waco, Texas.

Don was preceded in death by his son, Dale Bradley, who died in 1989. Mr. Bradley was born Feb. 16, 1933, to the late Charles Frank and Myrtle Matthews Bradley
