LAAC lunch to feature jewelry artist

The Lower Alabama Arts Council will host Opp native Kathy Messick for a lunch with the artist event this Thurs., Feb. 2, at The Gallery.
Messick designs jewelry, scarves and boot cuffs. Her product lines include wire knitted statement necklaces and cuff bracelets; glitz and glamour bracelets and earrings; chains N charms necklaces; Kumihimo necklaces and bracelets; and Hidden Messages (Morse Code) jewelry.
Her work has been included in swag bags for events associated with Golden Globes, MTV, Oscars and CMA Awards, and also has been seen in movies and on television, including:

Earlier this month, Kath’s Elegant Accessories were included in a luxe celebrity gift lounge honoring nominees and presenters of the 2017 Golden Globes.
All attending celebrities, select press and media, and other VIPs received her Hematite Morse Code– “Love” charm bracelet in their swag bags.
Kath’s Elegant Accessories, LLC, designs have been worn on the television shows The Vampire Diaries and Empire , as well as on the Hallmark Channel movie,’ “A Christmas Melody.” Select designs are available at The Gallery in Andalusia.
Messick currently resides in Woodridge, Va.
