Volunteers are needed for next month’s Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo.

Pam Potter, who serves on the Rattlesnake Rodeo committee, said volunteers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday.

The rodeo is set for March 11-12 at Channell-Lee Stadium.

“Volunteers can work Saturday or Sunday or both days, if they would like,” she said. “I need volunteers to work gates, which basically means they will stand at the gate entrance and make sure that everyone that comes through has an armband and it is on.”

There are perks to volunteering for the biggest annual event in Opp.

“They will receive a free T-shirt for working, and that shirt will be their ticket into the rodeo Saturday and Sunday,” she said. “They will be assigned a four-hour shift.”

Country music’s Chris Janson will headline Saturday’s rodeo and Confederate Railroad will play on Sunday.

Anyone interested in signing up to volunteer is asked to call 493-2122.
