Carolyn Mauldin Matthews

Mrs. Carolyn Mauldin Matthews, age 72, of Brantley, passed away Thurs., Feb. 02, 2017, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Fri., Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. from Judson Baptist Church, interment will follow in church cemetery. A visitation will be held Thurs., Feb. 10, at Foreman Funeral Home from 5:30-8 p.m. The body will also lie in state one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Jennifer Matthews of Brantley, Robert and Joanne Burton of Charlotte, N.C., Rodney and Betchi Burton of Tampa, Fla., and Richard and Cindy Burton of Clairmont, Fla.; grandchildren, Makayla Matthews, Ashley Burton, Rene Burton, Robby Burton, Ryan Powers, Leslie Burton, Mariah Burton, Richard Burton, and Autumn Stephens; great-grandchildren, Kai Burton and Dallas Burton; brothers, Monroe Mauldin of Goshen, Ala., George Mauldin of Tenn., and Max Mauldin of Orlando, Fla.; and sisters, Susie Mauldin and Debbie Mauldin both of Naples, Fla.

Mrs. Matthews is preceded in death by her parents, Talbert and Catherine Mauldin, and husband, Frazer Matthews.

Mollie Jo Martin Armstrong

Mollie Jo Martin Armstrong, 78, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Feb. 7, 2017, in Opp Health and Rehab.

Visitation will be Thurs., Feb. 9, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Jennie (Michael) Engberg of Andalusia; sons, Dean (Michelle) Armstrong and Jerome (Kelly) Armstrong, all of Andalusia; sisters, Mary Ann (Nathan) Tomlinson of Alabaster; Temple Powell of Huntsville; Edith (Harry) Stewart of Alabaster. Mrs. Armsrong was blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Armstrong.

 

 

Terry Jo Compton

Ms. Terry Jo Compton, age 58, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Feb. 02, 2017, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be held from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel on Thurs., Feb. 9, at 5 p.m.. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She is survived by her mother, Audrey Miley; son, Richard Compton of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-law, Brittani and Mitchell Holley of Andalusia, Amanda Serrett of Virginia, and Dawn Richards of Virginia; grandchildren, Janna Compton, Abygail Compton, Railynn Holley, Aiden Holley, Matthew Serrett, Lexie Serrett, and Izzy Serrett; sisters and brother-in-law, Trisha Reed of Mobile, Ala., Laura and Val Cloutier of North Carolina, and Lynn Mills of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Compton is preceded in death by her father, Darrell Hill, step-mother, Jackie Hill, and son, Joshua Keith Bohan.
