Choc-Pea: Lots of rain in January

The Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority recorded 9.2 inches of rain in January at Yellow River on Hwy. 55, and 14.35 inches of rain at Yellow River on Hwy. 84. in Covington County.
That’s more than the amounts recorded in January of 2016, when the total was 6 inches at Hwy. 55, and only 5.84 at Hwy. 84.
Similar results were recorded in each of the eight counties that make up the Choc-Pea watershed area.
