The Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo landed another popular act this week.

Opp Mayor Becky Bracke said this week that Hope Hull resident and “The Voice” contestant Charity Bowden will sing the National Anthem and will be opening for Opp’s Martin McDaniel on Sunday.

McDaniel will open for Confederate Railroad.

Bowden earned her spot on “The Voice’s” season 11, and a spot on Miley Cyrus’s team.

Bowden’s music took off in the ninth grade when she began singing in competitive pageants.

She now holds an annual charity event called “Angels of Change,” that she founded for people with special needs.

Bowden is also active in cheerleading and basketball, but suffers from chronic back and hip pain, which makes it difficult for her to compete.

Bowden recently came to Covington County to perform at Cancer Freeze at Lake Jackson in Florala.

The Rattlesnake Rodeo will be held March 11 and 12 at Channell-Lee Stadium.

Chris Janson will be the headline artist on March 11, with McDaniel also opening for Janson.

Tickets are on sale at Opp City Hall for $10. They are also available at the gate.
