On behalf of the Rice and Beans Ministry of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, I would like to thank all those who helped to make our Mardi Gras 5K and Fun Run such a success! Our thanks to Blaine Wilson at WAAO, Bob Brooks at WKNI, and Michele Gerlach at the Andalusia Star-News for helping publicize the event; to city workers who hung our banner over East Three Notch Street; to Advanced EMS and the Andalusia Police whose presence insured the safety of those who participated; to our volunteers from LBWCC; to our massage therapist Mimi Campbell; to the members of the Civitan Club who staffed our finish line water and fruit stop; to those who came to enjoy lunch; to all those who walked and ran; and to our financial sponsors who are listed in a Star-News ad. Also, our thanks to Pirate Graphics for always delivering a nicely finished product on time, even with a tight deadline. The results of a beautiful morning in February will help feed hungry neighbors in our community throughout the coming year. We look forward to seeing you next year!
