Mamie Brackin Steele

Mrs. Mamie Brackin Steele, age 85, of Red Level, passed away peacefully on Fri., Feb. 24, 2017, at her residence.

0225-steeleMrs. Steele was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on Dec. 31, 1931, to Mack and Lee Brackin. She was a lifelong resident of Covington County and a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Mon., Feb. 27, 2017, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating the service. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Pam Steele of Andalusia, William Steele of Red Level, and Glenn and Cheryl Steele of Loango; five grandchildren; Bobby Steele, Donna (Harold) Taylor, Amy (Butch) Gilmore, Lindsey (Matt) Raughton, and Jimmy Steele; 12 great-grandchildren, LaTisha (Erik) Ashley, Donnamy Steele, Cayman Steele, William Taylor, Bobby Throgmorton, Robert Underfinger III, Brandon (Tessa) Crowell, Reuben Gilmore, Nicholas Gilmore, Jackson Raughton, Katie Steele, and Alex Steele; four great-great grandchildren, Shane Ashley, Wyatt Ashley, William Taylor II, and Kaelynn Taylor; and brother, Frank Brackin. Billy Williamson

Mr. Billy Williamson, age 84, of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., Feb. 24, 2017, at Andalusia Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 26, 2017, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Williamson of Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Kathryn Williamson of Andalusia and Terry and Ella Williamson of Gordo, Ala.; grandchildren, Josh Williamson, Terrence Williamson, and Courtney Williamson; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Williamson of Andalusia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mandy Williamson Bradley.

Billy Williamson

The Rev. Wayne Etheridge, age 75, of Andalusia passed away Fri., Feb. 24, 2017, in Mizell Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Feb. 26, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Steve Dubose and the Rev. John Hunt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stone Lake Gardens with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sat., Feb. 25, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son, Terry (Becky) Etheridge of Andalusia; stepsons, Doward (Marie) Odom of Red Level, Freddy Odom of Andalusia, and Dallas Odom of Searight; brothers, Leon Etheridge of Camelia, Ga. and Bob Faustnot of Cantonment, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His wife, Olene Etheridge; stepsons, Tony Odom and Shelton Odom; and brother, Charles Etheridge, preceded him in death.
