Richard (Ricky) Jones of Andalusia has been elected to represent the Andalusia Utilities Board on the PowerSouth Board of Trustees. Jones’ appointment was approved at PowerSouth’s Feb. 24 board meeting.

Jones is the vice president of Andalusia Distributing Company. He has served on the Andalusia Water and Utilities Boards since 1984, where he currently serves as secretary and past chairman. He has served on the board of the Covington County Economic Development Commission Board since 1993.

He earned his bachelor of science degree in business and finance from Troy University.

He and his wife, Nancy, are members of First United Methodist Church of Andalusia.
