Opp business owner Stacie Edgar is pushing for locals to help put Opp restaurants on the map.

“Just a thought to help promote our town,” she said. “How many of us use the app Yelp while looking for restaurant? We use it so much.”

Edgar said with the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo coming up and beach traffic picking up, it’s time to promote local restaurants.

“People will get off the bypass to eat if they see a lot of positive reviews,” she said. “I added Down the Road Sports Bar and Grill. Also Benton’s only has seven reviews. Come on Opp, put us on Yelp I need to see good reviews on our good restaurants. Papa G’s too, they got the best pizza in Covington County voted by Andalusia Star-(News) readers.”

Edgar travels a good bit and said she thinks Andalusia could benefit from a similar effort.

She was busy on Tuesday adding photos of dishes from Benton’s and Down the Road.
