Andalusia Isshinryu Karate had three members recently compete and medal in the Gulf Coast Martial Arts Championship in Crestview, Fla.

The even was hosted by Gordan’s Martial Arts and competitors competed in weapons, forms and fighting divisions for their age and belt rank.

Landon Caldwell had a strong day bringing home first place finishes in black belt kata and black belt fighting.

Caldwell also finished second in black belt weapons.

Jacob Jernigan grabbed a first place finish intermediate belt kata.

Jarod Jernigan had a second place finish in intermediate belt kata and intermediate belt fighting.

The three Andalusia competitors are students of Mark Rudd at Andalusia Isshinryu Karate, located beside the USA Gym and Fitness Center.
