Opp Bobcats sweep Samson

The Opp Bobcats’ junior varsity and varsity baseball teams swept Samson on Tuesday night to remain undefeated on the short season.

JUNIOR VARSITY

OPP 11, SAMSON 2

In the opening game of the day, the Bobcats (5-0) scored early and often on their way to an 11-2 victory over Samson.

River Day had a nice day for the Bobcats going 1-for-2 with a single, walk and two runs scored.

Logan Ross finished the day 1-for-1 with a single, RBI, walk and two runs scored.

Jacob King was 1-for-2 with a single, walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Trey Spurlin walked twice and scored two runs in the Bobcats in win.

VARSITY

OPP 12, SAMSON 7

The varsity Bobcats (3-0) held off Samson in the nightcap for a 12-7 win.

Kody Richburg led the way for the Bobcats going 2-for-3 with a single, double, walk, RBI and three runs scored.

Orlando Lacey finished the night with two doubles and two runs scored.

Ethan Baker pitched two innings in relief to pick up the win for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats will play today in the Montgomery Fellowship of Christian Athletes Tournament.
