The Andalusia Bulldogs soccer team put up a strong fight, but fell 3-2 to Providence Christian on Thursday night in Andalusia.

Early in the first half, Providence Christian picked up a goal to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs tied the game up just before halftime with a goal from Kiki Wain.

Providence Christian started off the second half with a pair of goals to go on top 3-1.

Wain brought the Bulldogs within one after beating a Providence defender one-on-on and then punched the ball into the corner of the net.

The Bulldogs had a few more shots on goal towards the end of the match, but couldn’t get any to go through.

“I thought we played hard tonight, but we are just a little beat up right now,” Bulldog head soccer coach Jarret Williamson said. “I felt like we fought hard, but just couldn’t make the plays that we needed to at the end of the match.”
