Donald Troy Butler

Mr. Donald Troy Butler, 71, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., March 2, 2017, at a Mobile Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Donald was a native of Sanford, Al., and a resident of Andalusia. He was a lifetime member of Sanford Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War being a rifleman and tunnel rat in the 25th Tropic Lightning Division. He was awarded numerous awards and ribbons for his service and was cited by a tribute from the United States Senate for his decorated service in the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Reserves as a sergeant after 25 years of service. He was a long time employee of Pace Industries of Andalusia.

Mr. Butler is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Moore Butler; son, Donald Kevin Butler; grandsons, Donald Kyle Butler, Michael Joseph Hall, and Jonathan Hall; great-grandson, Terry Kaden Bowdoin; brother, Judge John F. Butler; sister, Brenda Barrow; and a devoted sister-in-law, Marsha Whigham, who as a nurse provided for his needs for more than two years now. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy W. Butler and Mary E. Butler of Sanford.

Cecil Eugene Windham

Mr. Cecil Eugene Windham, 82, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., March 1, 2017, at Andalusia Manor.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., March 11, 2017, in Adellum Cemetery, with Judge Ashley McKathan and Brother Billy Boles officiating the service.

Mr. Windham is survived by his wife, Betty Harrelson Windham of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Toni Windham of Huntsville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Rae and Ashley McKathan of Pleasant Home; step-son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Amanda Harrelson of Andalusia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Elmira Ridgeway of Grand Bay, Ala., and Lois Colvin Gibson of Andalusia; and a very special cousin, Marcia (David) Foster of Montgomery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Willie Mae Styron Windham; daughter, Darlene Mollinet; sister, Jennifer Windham; grandson, Damien Mollinet; and grandparents, Charlie and Lorena Tew Windham.
