More than a week after the shooting death of a Covington County man, sheriff’s investigators are still working the case.

Sheriff Dennis Meeks said Tuesday they are still waiting on information from forensics and they still have some interviews to conduct.

“There’s nothing new to report at this time,” he said. “The incident is still under investigation. It takes time with a shooting investigation.”

The shooting occurred Mon., Feb. 27, at a residence on the Gantt-Red Level Road.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Brady Dillon Page of Andalusia.

The sheriff’s department received the call around 6:30 p.m.

Meeks told The Star-News at the scene that Page’s body was found inside the home. He said last Tuesday that Page was lying on the floor in a bedroom with injuries from an apparent gunshot wound.

Covington County Coroner Norman Hobson pronounced Page dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Meeks said that Investigator Kevin Wise is heading the investigation.
