Memphis man jailed for cocaine in Opp

A Memphis, Tenn., man was arrested for drugs in Opp Wednesday.
Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that the OPD received a report of a reckless driver from multiple motorists that were traveling on Hwy. 331 south of Opp.
McDonald said a B-Shift officer responded to the area and made contact with a gray Lexus SUV.
An investigation resulted in Thomas B. Matthews, 21, being arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance – cocaine.
McDonald said that a 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force agent responded and took control of the investigation.
Matthews was incarcerated in the Covington County Jail.
