Thursday was a busy afternoon for those tasked with organizing the 57th annual Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo. The stage for the performers was being assembled Thursday afternoon. Additionally, Don Childre brought the main attraction — the Eastern Diamonback rattlesnake — to Channell-Lee Stadium. Childre said there are 56 snakes for this year’s rodeo.

The rodeo begins Saturday and runs through Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults. Chris Janson will headline Saturday’s show and Confederate Railroad will headline Sunday. | Mollie Riley/Star-News
