Andy Isshinryu nets top finishes

Several members of Andalusia Isshinryu Karate recently competed and brought home top honors at the USYKA Ryuken Classic Karate Tournament at Carver High School in Montgomery.

The competitors competed in weapons, forms and fighting divisions for their age and rank.

Allen Butler came in first place in the men’s black belt weapons, second place in black belt kata and fourth place in the men’s black belt fighting.

Landon Caldwell notched a first place finish in black belt fighting and a pair of second place finishes in black belt weapons and kata.

Kat Leach grabbed a pair of first place finishes in women’s yellow belt kata and fighting.

John Parker Hardy finished in third place in yellow belt kata.

Ashton Bailey came in first place in yellow belt fighting and fourth place in yellow belt kata.

Chris O’Neil picked up a second place finish in yellow belt weapons and a third place finish in yellow belt kata.

Brayden Walker brought home a pair of first place finishes in yellow belt kata and fighting.

Brianna Walker came back with a second place finish in yellow belt fighting.

These competitors are all students of Mark Rudd at Andalusia Isshinryu Karate.

Andalusia Isshinryu offers traditional Okinawan Karate for the entire family.
