Locals invited to ‘Kids Count’ presentation

Based on the 2016 Alabama Kids Count Data Book, Covington County is ranked 48 out of 67 counties in the state for child well-being.

The Covington County Children’s Policy Council invites local residents to an information session with Rhonda Mann, policy and research director for VOICES for Alabama’s Children, to learn more about what that menas.

Each year, VOICES publishes Kids Count, which serves as the benchmark for how children are doing, raises visibility of children’s issues, and informs decision-making at the state and local levels.

The meeting is set for 3 until 4 p.m. this Tues., March 21, at the Covington County Board of Education, Room 97, 807 C. C. Baker Ave., Andalusia.
