Andalusia head girls basketball coach Brad Garner helped put the pieces in place to guide the Lady Bulldogs to their first area championship and South Regional appearance in nearly a decade, and has been named the Star-News All-County Girls Coach of the Year.

After an 0-5 start to the season and then going to 4-10, the Lady Bulldogs went on to win 9-of-11 games before falling in the Class 4A South Regional semi-finals.
