The Opp Board of Education this week approved the 2017-2018 calendar.

Students will return to school on Aug. 7, and get out of school on May 24, 2018.

They also will get the following days out of school:

• Sept. 4 – Labor Day;
• Oct. 6 – Teacher workday;
• Oct. 9 – Columbus Day;
• Nov. 11 – Veterans Day;
• Nov. 20-24 – Thanksgiving Day;
• Dec. 21-29 – Christmas Holidays;
• Jan. 1-4 – New Year’s holiday;
• Jan. 8 – Students return;
• Jan. 15 – MLK Day;
• Feb. 16 – Winter Holiday;
• Feb. 19 – President’s Day;
• March 9 – Teacher workday;
• March 26-30 – Spring Break;
• April 20 – Spring Holiday;
