The Straughn Lady Tigers grabbed an early lead, but fell 17-6 to Geneva on Tuesday night in Geneva.

In the top of the first inning, Caroline Wood crushed a triple to center that scored Sarah Langford, Colby Adams and Morgan Harrison to put Straughn up 4-0.

Geneva scored six runs in the bottom of the first and held off the Lady Tigers for a 17-6 win in the first area match of the year.
