James Truman Fleming

Mr. James Truman Fleming, age 71 of Elmore, passed away peacefully Tues., March 21, 2017.

Services for Mr. Fleming will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., March 23, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Brent Cook will officiate. Burial will follow at the Kinston City Cemetery

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christy (Dewayne) Doster of Kinston; sons, James (Mary) Whatley of Elba and Mark (Luette) Missildine of DeFuniak Springs; stepsons, Mike (Cindy) Strickland of Opp and Manuel Strickland of Opp; stepdaughters, Debbie (Jerry) Kilcrease of Andalusia and Donna (Shane) Carter of Andalusia; sisters, Eloise Hillard of Opp, Barbara Patrick of Elmore, and Sue Henderson of Elmore; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin “Hayrake” and Merle Fleming and step-daughter, Cindy Strickland.
