The Andalusia Junior Woman’s Club has chosen Josh Scott as the featured artist for this year’s Three Notch Market, set for Sat., May 6.

Scott, 43, is a self-taught artist who draws inspiration from life, art, nature, and culture. He works primarily in acrylic and mixed media.

His works usually incorporate bold colors with heavy impasto textures and a diverse range of subjects.

Scott was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and relocated to Alabama in the mid-1980s. He lives with his wife and sassy daughter in Andalusia. His work has been exhibited at Andalusia Ballet and LAAC, which he currently is included in the show, “Local Color.”
