Man dies following crash; 2nd vehicle identified [updated]

Law enforcement officers said Monday morning they have found the vehicle involved in a  Saturday accident that led to the death of an Opp man.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at 6:50 p.m. on Sat., April 1.

Larry Hudson, 59, was critically injured when the 1997 Harley Davidson he was operating struck what has now been determined to be a black 2013 Chevrolet 1500.  The driver of the truck left the scene, and initially, Troopers were looking for the vehicle.

Hudson, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan where he later died from injuries he sustained in the crash.

The crash occurred on Covington County 40, two miles south of Kinston. The crash is still under investigation.
