The Andalusia Police Department has begun “accepting” arrest warrants for its 9th Annual Arrest A Friend fundraiser, set from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the Court Square in Andalusia on Thurs., April 6.

The event raises funds for the Covington county Relay for Life.

To sign a warrant, stop by the APD to sign a warrant for arrest. Alternately, stop by the warrant table on the day of the event on the Court Square.

Warrants signed after are $2 each, and have a minimum bond of $10 with a maximum amount of $100. (Exceptions are APD’s Most Wanted.) APD will not travel outside of the Andalusia city limits for this fundraiser.

In addition to Arrest A Friend, the Army National Guard will have their rock climb on site. An added event this year allows supporters to “challenge” an APD officer to climb.

All proceeds are donated to the Covington County Relay for Life – American Cancer Society. For questions, please call (334) 222-1155 ext. 3106 or ext. 3104.
