The Andalusia Bulldog soccer team improved to 8-1 on the season with a 5-2 victory over the Thomasville Tigers on Tuesday night in Andalusia.

Starting off the game, Thomasville quickly pushed the ball down field and punched in the game’s first goal.

The Bulldogs tied the game up a few minutes later when Kiki Wain scored on a penalty kick.

Adam Peek helped get the Bulldogs on top when he lobbed in a pass from the side that Jaden Brown sent into the net with a header.

A few minutes later, Peek narrowly missed on a header attempt off a corner kick from Wain.

Andalusia’s offense kept pounding the ball down the pitch and limited the Tigers’ shots on goal.

When the Tigers were able to get a shot, Andalusia goalie Franklin Osario was there to keep the ball out of the net.

The Bulldogs’ offense continued to put pressure on the Tigers’ goalie, but weren’t able to add to their lead before the end of the first half.

Wain got the Bulldogs off to a strong start in the second half when he fought his way up the middle of the pitch and capped the play strong goal to put Andalusia up 3-1.

Moments later, Wain completed the hat trick by kicking in his third goal of the match.

The Bulldogs’ final goal came on strong shot from Wain Yongkuma.

“We started the game slow and we had that Spring Break look to us,” Andalusia head coach Jarret Williamson said. “We challenged them to step up and the kids really responded well. We got our bell rung there early, but that shows that this team is willing to fight back. You go down 1-0 in the first five minutes and it could snowball, but the kids really fought back and finished strong.”
