Impeachment hearings against Gov. Robert Bentley will begin this coming week as planned, after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled in the Alabama legislature’s appeal of a temporary restraining order granted the governor yesterday.

Rep. Mike Jones, R-Andalusia, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee which is handling the Articles of Impeachment against Bentley, said Saturday afternoon he had just received notice that his committee can proceed with impeachment proceedings Monday as previously planned.

The Judiciary Committee will meet Monday at 10 a.m.
