Lady Bulldogs take out Florala

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs used two pitchers on the way to 16-0 shutout over the Florala Lady Wildcats on Thursday in Florala.

In the top of the first inning, Reesen Burkette reached off of an error to lead off the game for the Lady Bulldogs.

Burkette advanced to second base when Haley Harper laced a single through the right side of the infield.

Olivia Amerson put the Lady Bulldogs on the board when she tapped a ground ball to short that allowed Burkette to score the first run of the game.

The Lady Bulldogs went up 3-0 in the top of the second inning when Harper delivered a run-scoring single for her second base hit of the ball game.

Amerson followed with a two-run single to put the Lady Bulldogs on top 5-0.

Zaria Jones added to the damage when she ripped a double into center to score Sydney Ray and Chloe Mikel.

Harper finished the game 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Ray picked up the win for the Lady Bulldogs as she struck out four and gave up two hits in two innings of work.
