The Andalusia Fire Department responded Wednesday to a small fire at Dimples Daycare.

Fire Chief Russell McGlamory said the call came in around lunchtime.

“What they had was in the kitchen,” he said. “The person there immediately took it outside.”

McGlamory said there was no smoke or anything inside the daycare.

“She sat it outside of the building in something that they ship milk in,” he said. “The plastic melted.”

McGlamory said it was already out when they arrived on the scene.

There were no injuries.
