The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs saw their season come to an end on Tuesday afternoon in Ashford as they were swept in the Class 4A, Area 3 tournament.

In the first game of the day, the Lady Bulldogs found themselves unable to dig their way out of an early hole on the way to a 7-1 defeat.

Dale County went up 2-0 with a home run in the bottom of the second inning.

Andalusia finally managed to scratch out a run in the top of the seventh inning when Zaria Jones popped up a single to right field that allowed Haley Day to score.

Facing elimination, the Lady Bulldogs were no match for Ashford as they fell 10-4 to the Lady Yellow Jackets.

A home run from Ashford in the top of the first inning quickly gave the Lady Yellow Jackets a 2-0 advantage.

The Lady Bulldogs battled back and tied the game 2-2 when Millie Manring ripped a double that allowed Oliva Amerson and Haley Harper to score.

Asford then rallied and shut the door on any Andalusia comeback attempt.
