It’s a busy weekend for people in the Andalusia area. Here’s what you need to know.

  1. Outdoor concert

Grab a jacket and a lawn chair and head to Springdale at 7 tonight for the Ultimate EAGLES Experience. This is the group’s second appearance in Andalusia, after earning rave reviews from local Eagles fans.

The concert is a fundraiser for the LBWCC Foundation. Tickets are $20 each at the gate.

  1. Huge 5K

The third annual sMiles for Megan 5K is set for 8 a.m. Saturday. The event has drawn approximately 500 participants each year.

The 5K raises funds for the Megan Kelley Smiles Foundation, which provides assistance with non-medical expenses for young patients, ages 18 to 26.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. at city hall in Andalusia, and the race begins at 8. Participants may run or walk, and there is a one-mile fun run for kids.

Registration is $30. For additional information, visit www.mksmiles.org.

  1. It’s Market time

The Andalusia Junior Woman’s Club will hold its 8th annual Three Notch Market on Saturday.

Festivities begin at 9 a.m.

Josh Scott is this year’s featured artist, and the festival T-shirt includes his artwork of the First National Bank Building.

Entertainment includes Ted Watson at 9; Meredith’s Miracles Characters at 10; Tabitha Lindsey at 11 and Taylor Weeks at noon.

More than 40 vendors have signed up to participate in the event, which will be centered around the Andalusia Farmers Market.

Of special interest to moms will be a children’s area. For a $5 bracelet, kids can participate all day in the bouncey house, face painting, train rides, the fairy garden, bird feeder making, kids cafe, squirt gun art and gospel storybook skits.

  1. Butterflies

At 10 a.m., Comfort Care Hospice will hold its annual Butterflies and Bluegrass event in Kirkpatrick Park. The event features live music from the Straughn String Band and the LBWCC Ensemble.

A picnic lunch will be served, and more than 200 butterflies will be released in memory of loved ones.
