AMVETS Post 23 in Opp on Monday honored four local officers are “policemen of the year” as part of Law Enforcement Memorial Day services.

Those honored included:

• Greg Jackson, Covington County Sheriff’s Department.
• Michael Abraham, Andalusia Police Department.
• Sonny Bedsole, Florala Police Department.
• Mitchell Scofield, Opp Police Department.
