An automotive parts delivery operation will soon occupy the Shanklin nose dock hangar at the South Alabama Regional Airport.
SARA Executive Director Jed Blackwell said that Overnight Parts Alliance had already paid its first month’s rent.
They will pay $2,500 a month and will lease the facility for five years.
Blackwell said the company will employ five to eight people, which will be a combination of existing and new employees.
“They deliver parts throughout the Southeast,” he said.
The company is based out of Irondale.
According to the OPA’s website, “OPA is a unique group of non-competing dealers that give customers what they need to succeed and provide services for a cost that allows our deals to succeed as well.”
They have an array of dealers ranging from auto parts dealers to car dealers.
According to the website, their best selling products include Jaxx Paint Zorb; Kimtech Low Lint Prep Wipers, OPA Clear Cutter, Flitz headlight restoration kit; and high foam prep wash.
According to the Better Business Bureau, the company opened in December 2002.
