Shirley Stokes Mock

July 17 1936 – February 14 2017

Born and reared in Andalusia, Ala., Shirley and her late husband, Hill Mock, resided in Andalusia for the majority of their lives until retirement.

With a short stay in Navarre, Fla., they made their home in Foley Ala.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sun., June 11, 2017, at Gulf Shores Methodist Church, 1900 Gulf Shores Parkway Gulf Shores, AL.

Everyone is invited to a reception at Shirley’s home in Foley following the service. The address is 323 Manchester Lane, Foley

Dinner and refreshments will be served.

 

Faye Colvin

Faye Colvin, 87, a resident of Red Level, Ala., passed away Fri., June 2, 2017, in Florala Health and Rehab. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tues., June 6, 2017, from the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Kervin Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, is directing arrangements. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Colvin; and son, Greg Colvin.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Dorothy Jean Scott, Andalusia, Lorenza Randy Colvin and John Demond Hall, both of Red Level, and Bonnie Lou Colvin Sowell, Red Level. Smithart

Mrs. Mary Faye Smithart, age 68, formerly of Andalusia passed away on Thurs., June 1, 2017, in New Hampshire.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., June 7, 2017, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 at Foreman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smithart is survived by her daughters and daughter-in-law, Peggy Smithart and Jeanine Jordan of Pepperell, MA, and Angie Smithart of Andalusia; grandson, Owen Paul Smithart-Jordan of Pepperell, MA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Carolyn McCurley of Opp and Paul and Shirley McCurley of Spotsylvania, VA; sister-in-law, Diann McCurley of Opp; brother-in-law, Robert Curry of Andalusia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russie Lee and Mozell McCurley; husband, Jim Paul Smithart, Sr.; son, Jim Paul Smithart, Jr.; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard and Becky McCurley and James McCurley; and sister, Pat McCurley Curry.
