The APD reminds all citizens to lock their vehicles.

There have been several vehicle break-ins recently in neighborhoods and parking areas. The APD cautions residents not to leave items visible from outside the vehicle, as this is inviting someone to break in and steal them. Women are encouraged to keep their purses with them, or lock them in the trunk. Phones and other electronic items also should be locked in the trunk or kept on your person. Firearms should be removed from the vehicle or secured properly.
