The Covington County 12U All-Stars used big hits to come away with a 14-2 victory over Evergreen in the opening round of the district tournament Friday night in Brewton.

Micah Turner had a big night at the plate for Covington County as he went 2-for-4 for the two RBIs and one run scored.

Nathan Fowler finished the game 3-for-3 with three runs scored, one RBI and one walk.

Josh Hawkins also had a strong night at the plate as he went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Javen Poindexter took advantage of every chance he got as he reached safely in all three trips to the plate and scored three runs.

Parker Adams went 2-for-4 with one RBI and also throw out two would be base stealers.

Langham Ward Williams finished the night with four stolen bases.

With the win, the Covington County 12U All-Stars will play today at 2 p.m., against the Brewton All-Stars.
