Ella Foy Woodham

Ella Foy Woodham of the Red Oak Community passed away Wed., July 5, 2017, at the age of 92.

She is survived by her children, Judy Petrey of Florala, John (Pat) Woodham of Andalusia, Lamar Woodham (Renée LeMaire) of the Red Oak Community, Steve (Susan) Woodham of Thomasville, Ga., Ola Suggs of Florala, Arnold (Joy) Woodham of Clanton, and Jerome (Brenda) Woodham of Bronwood, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Brenda C. Woodham of Dothan; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Woodham; son, Hayward Woodham of Dothan; sons-in-law, Danny Petrey and Don Suggs, both of Florala; grandson, Danny Petrey of Florala; and great-grandson, Cooper Pierce of Kinston.

She worked at the Alatex in Andalusia 46 years in various departments. She loved her family, enjoyed spending time with family members and friends, and took advantage of every opportunity to go fishing. After her retirement, she liked being a part of the Andalusia Adult Activity Center’s regular Friday night dances and travels. She was known for her sense of humor, easy laughter, having a welcoming home, and speaking her mind.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., July 8, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home in Andalusia with interment to follow in Enon Church Cemetery in the Red Oak Community. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the service.
