Andalusia man to chair state CPA organization

Marc Hamilton, chief financial officer of CDG Engineers & Associates, Inc., recently was elected chair of the board of directors of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Hamilton recently served as ASCPA’s chair-elect and began his one-year term as chair on July 1. He is currently the CFO and treasurer at CDG and has been with the firm for two years.

Hamilton is a 27-year veteran of the accounting profession, holding positions in both public and corporate accounting. He earned his undergraduate accounting degree from Athens State University and a master’s of taxation at the University of Alabama.

ASCPA is a statewide organization representing more than 6,500 members in public accounting, industry, government and education. ASCPA works to develop and improve accounting education and promote the professional interests of CPAs in Alabama.
