After being open for about a year, Country Liquors has new store hours in an effort to cater to people taking part in the fun on the lake.

Located in downtown Gantt next door to Vinny’s, it’s owned by Tonya and Jessica Aplin and managed by Anactacia Myrick.

Myrick said they have a fine selection of wine, beer and spirits, as well as rum, brandy, tequila, gin, whisky and more.

“We have four different beers on tap that are sold by the gallon,” she said. “We have cigarettes, mixers and moonshines.”

Additionally they sell ice for $1 a bag.

“We give a country feeling to the customers,” she said. “Why shop in the city when you live in the country?”

Myrick said they have worked to be very competitive in their pricing.

They are open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.; Friday from noon until 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
