Samantha Ayala Amaya has joined the Company Performance Center’s staff this year.

Amaya began studying dance at the age of 4 in Mexico City.

She has trained under the direction of Susan Connally, Karin Connally Heiden, and Joseph and Laura Villalobos.

Amaya has participated in productions such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, La Boutique Fantasque, and The Royal Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty.

She has also danced the title role in San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet’s Snow White.

More recently, Amaya has performed with the Montgomery Ballet professional company in their productions of Ballet and the Beast: Into the Wild (2015 and 2016), The Nutcracker (2015 and 2016), Messiah , and Performance on the Green in Montgomery.

She has attended and performed at Regional Dance America South/West and the USA International Ballet Competition’s RDA Showcase.

Amaya currently resides in Montgomery, and is a full time dancer with the Montgomery Ballet.
