Teria Christine Archie

Ms. Teria Christine Archie, age 36, of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., July 20, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., July 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She is survived by two daughters, Anna Kate Archie of Cottondale, Ala., and Baily Rose Griffin of Andalusia; her father and stepmother, Terry and Sara Archie of Andalusia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Salinda and Byron Johnston of Linden, Ala., Rose and Michael Hopkins of Cottondale, Ala.; a brother and sister-in-law, Mahalley and Trecia McClellan of Albuquerque, N.M.; maternal grandmother, Rose Cahue of Hartford City, IN; and her nieces and nephews, Harley Johnston, Dillon Johnston, Alex Hopkins, Andrew Hopkins, and Kolle Thrush.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Anita Lucille Archie; her paternal grandmother, Willie Christine Archie; paternal grandfather, Hershal Archie; and maternal grandfather, James Turner.

Bobby Wayne Elmore

Mr. Bobby Wayne Elmore, of the Libertyville community, passed away Tues., July 25, 2017, at the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thurs., July 27, at Judson Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to services. Brother James Pickron and Brother Donnie Uptain will officiate the service.

He is survived by his wife, Margie McGlaun Elmore of Libertyville; a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Jill Elmore of Andalusia; a foster son and his wife, John and Heather Wade of Prattville; his grandchildren, Colton Elmore, Ashton Elmore, Braxton Elmore, Ashlyn Wade, Blake Wade, and Tyler Owens; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jacob Elmore, Harold and Ferrolyn Elmore; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Glenn Sightler, Barbara Bradley, Gloria and Eddie Cannon, Charlotte and Gary Smith, Elaine and Gordon Bulger; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a foster son, Robert Elmore.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bradley, David Elmore, Daniel Bulger, Heath Bulger, Donnie Elmore, and Chris Robbins.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Judson Baptist Church or Judson Cemetery fund.

Willene Vogtner Thrasher

Mrs. Willene Vogtner Thrasher, age 91 of Andalusia, passed away Mon., July 24, 2017, at Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thrasher will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Fri., July 28, 2017, at 2 p.m.. Interment will be at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery and will be handled by Foreman Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Thrasher was born and grew up in Mobile, Ala. She and her husband moved to Andalusia in 1977. They lived almost 30 years on Bush Isle Road in Gantt.

Willene, along with her husband, Earl, was an avid flower lover and spent a lot of her time working in her yard gardens. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and in her leisure time spent a lot of enjoyable hours at the local Adult Activity Center.

She is survived by her son, Joel Thrasher, Andalusia. Other survivors are a special nephew and niece, George W. Vogtner Jr. and Linda Reid Vogtner, Mobile, and many nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces. Also, two sisters-in-law, Lesta Vogtner and Dot Vogtner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. Vogtner, Sr., and Willie Mai Neigel Vogtner, one sister, Lillian Vogtner Platt; and four brothers, Earle, Charles, Joseph, and George Vogtner, Sr.; nieces, Grace Hughes and Barbara Baxley.

Pallbearers will be the Elders of the First Presbyterian Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pilot Club.
